What they say:
It’s going to get hot and steamy this Christmas…
Sandy Jackson still dreams of the sexy stranger who came to her rescue years before.
And when she meets Jay Bentley again she doesn’t recognise him. Horrifically wounded in a car crash, Jay has both physical and psychological scars and is more Beast than Prince Charming.
But he has not forgotten their earlier encounter either… And all he wants this Christmas is Sandy in his bed…
What we say – review by Elizabeth A Wright:
If you are looking for something hot and heavy that pushes the boundaries of ‘vanilla sex’ without slipping into dangerous mind games then this is the book for you. Technically a Christmas book, The Gift is still a year-round read, and won’t make you long for wintry nights with mulled wine – it’ll warm you up with something else entirely.
Sandy and Jay have an interesting story that certainly draws you in as the book progresses, but the main pull of the story, as you might expect, is their sexual chemistry. Refreshingly there are no complex mind games that make you question the sanity of the male lead. Instead you are simply invited into the world of an unexpected love affair between two people who are happy to experiment, but firmly understand and respect each other’s limits.
